WhisperWhisper came to us as a stray along with her buddy, a Basset Hound. Whisper has the most beautiful blue eyes and is very laid back and mellow. Whisper is a special needs puppy in that she is deaf. Her buddy, the Basset has always been her ears, but unfortunately the Basset has been adopted and she is left to rely on others for her hearing. Please note, Whisper is in a kill shelter and dogs only have to be held for 72 hours due to limited space. Our adoption fee is a mere $32.00 ($20.00 for adoption and $12.00 for a license). I'm a volunteer at the Highland County Dog Pound in Hillsboro, Ohio. There is a young dog (maybe 6-9 months?) that came into the pound as a stray and we are 99.9 % sure it's deaf.
Three volunteers took it outside today and tested its hearing. It only responded to motion. I will attach pictures. The petfinder posting will not be up until later tonight or in the morning. Most dogs only have 72 hours so please let us know as soon as possible if you can help. Thanks!
