Chillocothe, OH: Aussie Mix Pup Needs a Rescue

Aussie(mix?) puppy that needs to find a rescue. From what I have heard so far, they believe she is deaf because she does not respond to anything, and their Great Dane shows her where to potty outside.

The puppy needs to find a rescue within the next couple of days, they have already said that they have too many dogs already and they cannot keep her, if they cannot find her a place to go by a couple of days, they will take her to the pound. I do not know how old she is or anything, the only things I know of right now is that she is deaf. I have attached two pictures of her. If you do not have any room for her, could you please crosspost her?

Ravenna, OH: Akita Mix Needs Help Now

URGENT!!!!!!!!!!Very nice girl. She only has one eye. Seems to be deaf. She needs a nice place to retire and live out her golden years.

Update 12/11/2010. I really need to find a home - real or foster - very soon. The Dog Pound staff and volunteers treat me real well, but I've been here far too long. I do have some special needs, like I really want to stick with you when I'm outside because I have trouble seeing and a little trouble hearing these days. I love to be groomed and petted. I walk great on a leash - I just want to stick with you. I am an easy going dog who wants to make you my companion. I promise if you invite me into your family, I will be loyal and provide you with dedicated companionship. Please stop by and take me for a walk. I know you'll enjoy my company. I really need to find a good home before Christmas. My volunteers even gave me a name but you sure can change it once I'm a member of your family. I'm Millie for now. You will know my gentle soul when you give me a treat and have to set it on the floor before I will take it. See you soon!

Zanesville, OH: Cat Slated for Euthansia If No Home or Rescue

I work with the local animal shelter in Zanesville OH. We have a cat that is blue-eyed, white, 2yr old female. We named her Amore'. She came with severe ear infections as a stray in August. The shelter has treated her for the ear infections. She may/most likey has a ruptured ear drum and a permanant head tilt. She can hear to some degree but not very well. She is not much of a jumper due to her landing skills are limited. She is short-haired and really sweet. She loves to be held and head scratches a. She is healthy other than her long term head tilt. I tested her with cats and she will hiss if they get in her face but she doesn't make any contact.

If we can't get a rescue or home that understands her limits, she will be euthanized. She will be spayed, vaccinated and wormed. You can contact me at this email jeeplady67@yahoo.com or John Newman at the shelter 740-452-1077. Any help would be great.

Fremont, OH: Cat Needs a Home

Fufi-Fufi

my little, deaf kitty
needs to find a new home.
Breed: Angora mix
Birthdate: 3/13/05
Green Eyes
Soft white hair
Spayed
Declawed (front only)
Up to date with shots
Very sweet and lovable
Loves to lay on my lap or beside me to get petted
Loves cat nip, tuna, milk, and cat treats
(her favorite cat treats are Whiskas and
Temptations, chicken flavor
Eats Purina Cat Chow food dry
Loves to chase moths or bugs
and will bat them right out of the air
Doesn’t meow a lot,
only when she needs something.
She will let you know if she needs food or water
by letting out one of her cute little meows
Fufi loves to look out of the window
and feel the breeze of nice fresh air,
even though she is an indoor cat.
She sleeps lots during the day,
always greets me in the morning
for some attention.

She snores quietly which is very funny

Fufi is Litter box trained;
sometimes she misses over the side
but never on purpose
If you tap your hand on the ground or on the sofa
she will jump up next to you

If you make a piano like motion
with your fingers on the carpet
she will come over and want to be petted.

Fufi bats around a cat nip filled toy
and carries around one of her toy mice
every once and a while

She loves loves to be brushed

Fufi loves to wear her witches dress at Halloween;
she used to wear a little sweater as a kitten, so cute!

She loves to sleep under my Christmas tree
during the holiday

I always wanted an all white cat.
I purchased her at a reputable pet store as a kitten.

Now I am truly very sad
to have to find her a new home.
I am moving
and am limited to only two pets.
She deserves only the best
and I have cried many nights
over the thought of not having her around.
She is my very best girl
(I tell her that all the time).
I care most about Fufi being
comfortable and happy
because I know how hard it must be for her
not to be able to hear anything
and it would be selfish of me to keep her
knowing she is upset with a dog and cat
that scare her all the time.
I need to do what is best for my little girl,
even though I don’t want to say goodbye...
(and of course, I am crying right now even writing this).
If you are interested in adopting Fufi,
please fill out an online application at:

Kind Regards,
Barbara McGrady

Libson, OH: Euthansia for Boxer on 4/7

http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/16072845?recno=8

This is "BUD" (1 yr and 45 lbs, avail 04/01). He was found wandering on McSwiggen Rd. Bud is very friendly and loving and other than being borderline emaciated he appears to be in good health. We believe that Bud may be deaf or partially deaf. He is very friendly but will require someone with a firm but gentle hand. Due to his hearing loss it will infact be a challange to train Bud. He was not wearing a collar/id and no one has called to report him lost/missing. He has been give a parvo/distemper (7-way) vaccine and has been wormed for 3 days with panacur.

He is scheduled to be euthanized on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 7TH.
