Update 06/13/12:

Elli is spayed, UTD on vaccines and is tested negative for FIV/FeLV. DOB is 1/22/2008. Due to an unforeseen change in her owners' living situation, NAR welcomed Elli back into our care (as we would do with all of our adopted cats).  All grown up now, Elli is once again looking for her forever home. Elli keeps to herself, and would be fine as an only cat or with another gentle, laid-back cat.  She does not require any special care except regular brushing and lots of love. She has adapted well to her CH (Cerebullar Hypoplasia).

Charlotte, NC: Deaf Cat and Mate Look for a Home

The owner passed away unexpectedly at the age of 37 in the past two weeks. They are now with the aunt, who is trying to get help to find them another home. Please help! Sweetie is 10 years old (deaf, declawed) and Tiger is 5 years old (hearing, declawed). They have been together two years and are pretty close. Carson City, NV: Foster, Home or Rescue ASAP!

Winnefred is here at Carson City Shelter.  She has been adopted twice and returned both times. She needs to get out to a rescue that can deal with her deafness, and her separation anxiety issues. She does need to get out soon, as she is miserable in the kennel and the likelihood of finding her a home from here is very slim. Please let me know if you have someone that can take her soon.

Winnefred weighs about 40lbs, she is a spaniel mix, deaf and has seperation anxiety.  She is so very sweet, loves other dogs, cats and children.

North Branch, MI: Welsh Springer Spaniel Puppy Needs a Home

I have a litter of 5 Welsh Springer Spaniel puppies who are 4.5 wks old. One of them is deaf. He is all white, except for a red spot over his right eye and he has light blue eyes. He is too young for the Baer test, but we know from his behavior that he is deaf.

We are calling him Billy (we name the puppies just to keep a record of them while they are with us; their new owners can call them whatever they would like). He is a male. We are in North Branch, MI.

We have started to use the 'thumbs up' sign with Billy whenever he gives us eye contact and when he uses the litter tray. We are trying to get him off to a good start, as we do with all our puppies. He will have an eye test by a vet Ophthalmologist at 7 wks old, and a vet exam and first vaccines at 8 wks. A forever compassionate home is my goal for him.

shelter they have little chance of being saved through adoption--but they are all

so adoptable!  Among them are two whose plight seems especially hard--one

is a small senior Chihuahua--just a little thing who is no doubt terrified--

Chihuahuas are very sensitive little dogs and they shake and tremble in shelter

cages--this little girl was someone's pet for years and now has been thrown

away like an old shoe.  

They have arrived on death row because someone moved away and simply

left them behind--because they escaped from their yards and no one

bothered to look for them--because someone moved and did not find a place

where they could go as well--because people failed them--because no one

cared--because they are "just dogs" after all.

Now they need you desperately--because they will die without your help.

Every dog and puppy on this post must have an offer RECEIVED BY THE
