Baltimore, MD: AMBull Mix Needs Adopter or Fosterer

I need some help, and time is of the essence. Last May, I adopted out Remiel, a deaf white AmBull/Pit Mix Pup to what I thought, was a wonderful family in Virginia. They have just separated and both work, they are Teachers. The wife took the dog with her and she moved into a rental property. The Landlord has told her she cannot remain there with the dog, he must go. She now feels she cannot take care of the dog that she works and is newly separated, Wow, hope she never has kids, teacher cannot multi task!! Well anyway, I need to take him back, but have no room right now, until I have an adoption. She refuses to wait and has threatened to take this wonderful boy to a shelter, where a deaf Bully will only have death waiting for him. I have helped lots of groups over the years and now I am looking for a foster, even if it is just for a couple of weeks. He is housebroken and knows basic commands, he is neutered, UTD on shots and micro-chipped, I have just relisted him on my Petfinder page. He is a beautiful boy, do not let the deaf part scare you, you would not know, he does follow basic commands and is very smart. I cannot afford to board him. Please forward this, maybe someone can help me. Call or email Mary at 443-983-0466 pittiesandpurrs@verizon.net or Shauna at brownshauna@bellsouth.net

  1. I just sent a message to my niece in Baltimore...she has a blue pit and many dog loving friends. I'm hoping she may know someone who could foster...fingers crossed!!

  2. I could possibly due a foster depending if the dog is gentle enough to be around a small chi as well as another Pit. My pit & chi get along great, but I don't want to risk my chi getting hurt by another dog.

  3. Do you prefer Remiel to be only dog in household? How old? Is he prey chaser? Does he have any food or toy possessiive characters? How well does he go along big dogs either males or females? Thank you Silver Spring, MD resident

  4. Christina:

Anytime I foster a dog, I always put her or him in a crate when left home without supervision. I do that to all of them regardless size. I would encourage you or anyone to do the same.

    Everyone:
