Fort Worth, TX: Labrador Mix Needs a Home

Sasha has had a hard life so far. She is a very sweet girl, who happens to be deaf. She had been adopted a long time ago, but got returned when they just didn't have time to take care of her. She has been around children and is ok with them, but does need to be in a home that knows how to behave around a deaf dog. She is housetrained, spayed, current on vaccinations, and ready to go home with her special person today.

Columbia, TN: Pit Bull Needs to Get Out!

Will you send out a plea for this dog; she is deaf. She is a friendly dog. She is at the Maury County Animal Services. The contact person is Donna Cole at

Hawthorne, FL: Cattle Dog Needs a Home or Rescue

Check below for video:

He is a GREAT catch yet is currently being boarded for many months now sadly waiting for a home or a rescue with a foster home to help him! MEET BOB!!!! Bob is about 2 1/2 years old. Fully vaccinated, neutered and on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Bob was rescued from a home at the again of 6 months. His owners had just moved into a rented home and they were going to have to take him to the shelter as they were not allowed to have pets at their new place. We found Bob running in and out of the open door to the house and in the surrounding yard among the broken glass from bottles. We took him and have decided to help find him a new home which has taken time as Bob is what is called a special needs dog - he is deaf. But his fun happy energetic personality isn't affected as you can see! He'd LOVE to have a job to do or hey -- do a job WITH YOU LOL! Just needs a home with activity and love! Contact sunkiva@bellsouth.net and /or veronica@fldloglover.com to meet BOB!!

Brooksville, FL: Cat Needs a Home

This beautiful blue eyed girl was turned into a high kill shelter by her owner because she is deaf!!! Clair has been with us nearly a year! She is a bit wary of other cats but does not fight. Clair likes nothing better than to lay her head in your hand to be massaged. Clair is a very friendly girl. As you can see she likes her food. Please give this blue eyed sweety the forever home she deserves. Judging by her reaction to her foster brothers & sisters Clair was likely an only child and would likely want things to stay that way. She may be ok with dogs but we don't know. This pretty girl needs a home!! If you havee questions about Clair or is interested in adopting her, contact Linda at tropicalfelinerescue@earthlink.net

New Haven, CT: Pit Bull Needs a Home/Foster or Rescue

Hi everyone. I'm reaching out for a little help here. The New Haven Animal Shelter is pretty full. We have a few dogs that have been at the shelter for a while. I need to get them out of the shelter to a safer , less stressful place.

This dog is very special, he is deaf. His name is Joba and he was found as a stray. He had a responsible owner at some point because he is already neutered. Joba is very handsome and friendly. Joba makes good eye contact , knows his sit command, takes treats gently. Joba likes to go for walks and is a happy guy.

He is about 2 years young and very cute. You can't help but to love him ! If you can't help by taking Joba , please help by crossposting.

Contact Delette Corwel from Friends of the New Haven Animal Shelter for more information. E-mail is poomeister@hotmail.com or phone at 203-464-2457.

Thank you for your help and consideration,
Delette

Greenville, SC: Pit Bull Mix Needs a Home or Rescue

Shiloh is a 1year old female pittie mix, update on shots, spayed, heartworm neg, housebroken and very loveable. Please call foster mom Sheila at 803 381 4483 / shipsheila@gmail.com or Carmen at 864 915 0349 / mt0815@charter.net.

Shiloh was rescued from Greenville County Animal Shelter where they had told rescuers that she was euthanized twice. The 3rd time she was posted, she was lucky to be pulled from this horrible place. Her future did not look good because she was heart worm positive. She got treatment and is a healthy girl now. She loves to play with toys and her foster brothers/sisters. However, she cannot hear anything. She did get some special training on signs but need a dedicated family or rescue to spend more time with her and teach her some more. Once she gets into it, she learns really fast.

She needs a home of her own. Contact Sheila or Carmen.

Buffalo, NY: Blind and Possibly Deaf Husky Needs Help

Old Boy was picked up on the road by a caring animal control officer. With his injury, he was taken to the vet. The vet feels Old Boy he is around 10 years old. He is blind, and may possibly be deaf. No one is sure if his blindness was caused by his injury, or if it was the other way around. He has touched our hearts, and our hope is that a kind soul or a rescue will step up for him and will give him the love and attention he deserves.

Old Boy is oblivious to dogs that are around him. He was found with that gash on his head which they say is old and they left it open. He also has a round sore on his back which the vet says is a tumor that popped. He doesn't seem in pain with it, and doesn’t seem to have arthritis. He is a sweet boy and obviously has had a rough time of things, but definitely seeks out a person and whines for them if he can smell them. He has a great appetite as well! With any blind dog, there is a period of adjustment, but it is felt that once he can get used to familiar surroundings, he will adapt.

We hope that a kind soul or a rescue will step up for Old Boy, and will give him much love and a warm place to live for whatever time he has left. But if a rescuer or adopter cannot be found, he will be held in loving arms when he goes over the rainbow bridge.

If you can give Old Boy lots of love and a soft, warm bed to lie on for the remainder of his golden years, please contact Kathy at KathyRN1983@yahoo.com.

Atlanta, GA: Deaf/Blind Cattle Dog Needs Help

Hi everyone,

I got an email in my White Angels Hope Rescue screen name from a lady named Jamie who lives an hour outside of Atlanta. She has to give up her senior Cattle Dog mix named Apache, who is going blind and deaf. She is a beautiful girl (picture below) and I would like to help her find a good and safe home for this senior gal. If someone could open their heart and home to this dog because the alternative of having to put her to sleep would break my heart and hers. Jamie feels she would do best in a home where she was an only dog where she could get someone's full love an attention.

Please pass this around to people who might be able to help if you can not. I am just a messenger so if you are interested, please contact Jamie Keyes herself at georgiapeach1959@bellsouth.net or 770 725-4527.
Please help.
Yours in Rescue
Margret

Zanesville, OH: Cat Slated for Euthansia If No Home or Rescue

I work with the local animal shelter in Zanesville OH. We have a cat that is blue-eyed, white, 2yr old female. We named her Amore'. She came with severe ear infections as a stray in August. The shelter has treated her for the ear infections. She may/most likey has a ruptured ear drum and a permanant head tilt. She can hear to some degree but not very well. She is not much of a jumper due to her landing skills are limited. She is short-haired and really sweet. She loves to be held and head scratches a. She is healthy other than her long term head tilt. I tested her with cats and she will hiss if they get in her face but she doesn't make any contact.

If we can't get a rescue or home that understands her limits, she will be euthanized. She will be spayed, vaccinated and wormed. You can contact me at this email jeeplady67@yahoo.com or John Newman at the shelter 740-452-1077. Any help would be great.
