Sonya is a gorgeous odd eye solid white cat who is about 2 years old. She is completely deaf but what a great personality. She was surrendered to a shelter in Virginia because her owner became ill. A shelter with too many nice cats and too few adoptions. Poor Sonya ran out of time and the shelter staff asked Fancy Cats to help her! She will make a wonderful companion to some lucky someone! Not quite ready to adopt but would like to foster a cat or kitten? Email luvurcat4life@gmail.com or call 703-961-1056 to find out how you can help. Ask for Catherine Awad.

Deaf AM Bulldog/Pit Bull Mix in NYC Kill Shelter
Isn't there anyone on the East Coast who can foster for a few weeks, while we work on finding a home. He is truly a good, good dog. Am Bulldog Rescue will probably take him once they shift a few dogs around. I cannot take him, no funds, no space and too many dogs to get homes for. The super awesome Chumani being one of them. I am in contact with his owner so know everything about him. Their 10 month old son was raised with him. Anyone have any ideas???

Deaf Border Collie/Aussie Mix in KY
Whoever named me Lucky must have had an ironic sense of humor. My owners left me behind in a pen when they moved away. It also appears that I am deaf. The landlord fed me for a while, but then he just planned to turn me loose to fend for myself. Thank goodness he spoke to a volunteer who said to bring me to the shelter. Now that is all behind me (except for being deaf); maybe my future truly does hold some luck for me. You can see in my video that I am handsome beyond words and I'm a truly wonderful boy. I seem to know a few hand signals. I don't bark. I was curious in the cat room but not aggressive and not really afraid. When I was introduced to another dog at the shelter, again I was curious and behaved myself even when he did rude things to me. When I was neutered I learned I weigh 66 lbs and may be a bit underweight and could get a bit bigger. I know that luck is in my future because these people have vowed to find me a wonderful home and family where I can be happy and safe forever. I believe them.
