Deaf Boxer in NC Needs Help!

“JUNE BUG” (ID# 15174) is 4 year old purebred deaf Boxer that knows sign language. She was dropped off today at the shelter b/c her family is going through a divorce. They’ve had her since she was born. She is great with children and other dogs, but her sheet says not so much with cats. She is already housetrained. Sheet says that she hasn’t been spayed. Because of her handicap (deafness) she will not understand anyone at the shelter and doesn’t know what is happening to her. If anyone can please go rescue her before she gets sick and depressed, you’d be doing her a favor of a lifetime! She has a sponsor of $40 already.

  1. I believe the purpose of sponsorship is to collect $ to have this dog spayed. Anyone seriously committed and interested in a deaf boxer, run! :)

  2. You are suggesting that people run TOWARDS a deaf white boxer, I hope. Otherwise, you are an idiot and shouldn't talk about things you know nothing about. I have a deaf white boxer and she is an absolute awesome dog. She is a loving and intelligent dog and when people come to visit, they don't even know she is deaf until I tell them. Deaf dogs learn how to assess situations, read body language, and pick up on hand signals quickly because they HAVE to in order to survive (and because they don't want to be late for dinner!). If you ever had the pleasure of being greeted by a white boxer, you would know this but I suspect you're just a nasty person who hates just about anything or anyone you can. -Amy Buck, Seattle, WA

  3. Hi Amy,

I am sorry if there was a confusion that led to a misunderstanding. What I mean is run, not walk, to adopt a deaf dog. I am deaf and have two deaf dogs myself so I am on your side. Cherish your dog and tell her I said hi! :)
